Explore Historic Downtown Asheville

Loaded with beautiful parks and historic buildings, Asheville is a wonderful downtown area to walk.  There are many amazing restaurants, wine and cocktail bars, and several breweries all within walking distance of each other. And don't miss the River Arts District for locally crafted gifts and additions to your home. Or grab a coffee and bakery item and walk along the French Broad River.

See A Minor League Game At The Asheville Tourists' Stadium

The Asheville Tourists, a high A affiliate of the Houston Astros, has a stadium in downtown Asheville and is a great location to watch a game and then enjoy nightlife in that area.  They will be having two home stands during our 2026 event: vs. Greenville April 21 - 26 and vs. Rome May 5 - 10th. Take In Some Sights On The Blue Ridge Parkway

The Blue Ridge Parkway is a linear National Park that runs 469 miles from Rockfish Gap, VA South to Ravensford, NC, right through Asheville.  There are several access points to get on the parkway in and around Asheville.  So, explore some of the best views in the country in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

It looks like most of the storm damage from Helene on the Blue Ridge Parkway has been repaired.  However, you can always check the status and conditions locally.

Maybe tack on a day or two and take in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and the area's National Forests. There's not shortage of things to do off the fields.
