Blue Ridge Spring Dinger 2027

60+ American Division: April 14, 15 & 16

 Format: A minimum of 5 games in 3 days. The first 2 days are prescheduled double-header pool games. Day 3 will be a 4-team playoff with seeds 1-4. Everyone plays in the morning (#6@#5, #4@#1, #3@#2) The higher 2 seeded winners play in the afternoon for the Championship.

60+ Elite Division: April 19, 20 & 21

 Format: A minimum of 5 games in 3 days. The first 2 days are prescheduled double-header pool games. Day 3 will be a 4-team playoff with seeds 1-4. Everyone plays in the morning (#6@#5, #4@#1, #3@#2) The higher 2 seeded winners play in the afternoon for the Championship.

 Format: A minimum of 5 games in 3 days. The first 2 days are prescheduled double-header pool games. Day 3 will be a 4-team playoff with seeds 1-4. Everyone plays in the morning (#6@#5, #4@#1, #3@#2) The higher 2 seeded winners play in the afternoon for the Championship.

70+ Division: April 28, 29 & 30

Format: It is a 5 game round robin over 3 days. The first day is a single game in the afternoon then 2 days of double headers. Best record after 5 game have been played wins.

We will be utilizing Enka High School baseball field as our 4th field.  Minutes from Bob Lewis Ballpark.

65+ Division: May 3, 4 & 5

Format: A minimum of 5 games in 3 days. The first 2 days are prescheduled double-header pool games. Day 3 will be a 4-team playoff bracket. The top bracket will be seeds 1-4. All 8 teams play game 5 in the morning, and the winners of the bracket games play again in the afternoon for the championship.

75+ Sandlot Division: May 3-7

Format: Teams will play 5 games over 5 days. Players will sign up as an individual and be assigned a team based on the positions they can fill. 

Spring Dinger player information

The Site

Blue Ridge Spring Dinger games are all played at Bob Lewis Ballpark in Enka, NC. This complex is a youth baseball and softball facility that generously allows Dinger Baseball to be one of only two adult baseball organizations to use it for tournament purposes. Fans should know that there are bleachers near the outfields but if they wish to sit by the dugouts or behind the backstop, they should bring folding chairs.

Dinger Baseball Player Rules

Our tournaments do not allow for underage players in any division. All participants must be of division age by December 31, of tournament year. We also do not allow players to check in to play on the final day of division games. Any exceptions to these conditions MUST be approved IN ADVANCE of the tournament start by Rob or Karen.

Other Things to Know

We ask that our players abide by the following rules with respect to the Ballpark staff and teammates:: 

* No chewing gum or sunflower seeds on the fields or in the dugouts

* Tobacco use (including chew) must remain in the parking lot. Vaping must be away from the dugouts and fan areas.

* No outside beverages or food may be brought into the complex. Water will be provided in each dugout and sports drinks can be purchased at the concession stand. Concessions will be available through the start of the second game daily.

* Metal spikes prohibited on all fields.

* Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash and well behaved. It's expected that owners clean up after their dogs promptly.

* Weather can be unpredictable. Although we generally experience spring-like temps during this event, being in the mountains, there's always the possibility of rain, mist, fog and wind. We encourage all players and their fans to come prepared with layers of clothes and umbrellas.

We're glad you're coming to play baseball but there's so much more to do while you're in town. So whether you add a day or two to your stay or just decide to head out after a game or for the evening, we encourage you to check out the area and enjoy all the Asheville has to offer.
