Bay State Baseball Bash 2026

NEW for 2026!

     We are excited about adding a second event to our annual calendar. Due to the popularity of the Blue Ridge Spring Dinger in Asheville each Spring, we’re hoping that we can entice teams to try the same format in a different setting - Fall in New England.

     The Bay State Baseball Bash would take place in Northborough, MA (west of Boston) at the former New England Baseball Complex the 14th - 18th of September, 2026. The format and general setup would be similar to the BRSD, but we would only start with six teams in two divisions - 70+ and 65+. Should we receive solid interest from enough 60+ teams we could expand into the next week if needed.

     We feel that this will be a great opportunity for teams that are unable to travel to Florida or Arizona for a full week to enjoy playing in a post-season tournament that is easy to get to, in a great area with lots to do off the field for both players and their family/friends, and can be wrapped into a shorter trip overall. It would also be a great way to take a WS-bound team, whose players haven’t taken the field together, to “gel” a little before facing World Series (MSBL or RHBB) competition. The weather should be wonderful for baseball at that time in MA and there’s tons to do in Boston, Rhode Island and Connecticut if you want to venture by car for an hour or so.

     In order for us to set this up, we would need solid interest from at least 6 teams in each of the divisions. So, we will start with word of mouth and emails from teams who would consider attending. Once we start a list of interest we will contact those managers next year about registering their teams.  

     Although teams that are drawn for the Spring Dinger are welcome to both events, we’re prepared to offer the teams who don’t get a berth in that event first dibs on the Fall event.

This division will play a straight round-robin of 5 games with the best record winning the division.  Check-in will open at 7:30 AM on Monday.  Games are scheduled for 9:30 and 12:30 on Monday and Tuesday.  Game 5 will be on Wednesday morning at 9:30 AM.
